Open Garden for Epilepsy
October 13 - October 14
Woodbank Rare Plants in Longley (near Hobart) is kindly opening their garden for two days as part of OPEN GARDENS FOR EPILEPSY.
Woodbank Rare Plants will open its garden to visitors on the 13th and 14th October for Epilepsy Tasmania whose OPEN GARDENS FOR EPILEPSY events, in partnership with Blooming Tasmania, raise awareness and funds for the 100,000 Tasmanians who are affected by epilepsy.
This garden has an idyllic setting spread over four acres and features lakes, waterlilies, sweeping lawns, sculptured garden beds, and rare and endangered plants collected over 50 years by horticultural pioneer Ken Gillanders (OAM) from countries once part of the ancient continent of Gondwanaland. It specialises in rare plants, rhododendrons and exotic perennials.
